My Momma, Myrna

(Mom in 1986 (center), with her siblings. All three total Panamanian babes.)

I love my Mom!  What a journey it has been.  She has been fighting and healing through Myelofibrosis, a chronic blood cancer in which excessive scar tissue forms in the bone marrow and impairs its ability to produce normal blood cells.  The stress and havoc it has wrecked! I’ve been told that she was going to die around four times, each instance sending me into a seesaw of long episodes of sleep and insomnia, and everything that stress does to my soul and body.  My sisters are insane warriors and the gatekeepers of our mom through her treatments.

There is so much I could write about her and my sisters, I’m going to save it for now.

I love you, Mom!
