For The Love of Sundays

“I suppose I have found it easier to identify with the characters who verge upon hysteria, who were frightened of life, who were desperate to reach out to another person. But these seemingly fragile people are the strong people really.”

– Tennessee Williams

“People die all the time. Life is a lot more fragile than we think. So you should treat others in a way that leaves no regrets. Fairly, and if possible, sincerely. It’s too easy not to make the effort, then weep and wring your hands after the person dies.”

– Haruki Murakami

There is something special about Sundays, I think it’s a day of the week inherently hardwired to be relaxing, because maybe it’s simply that we live in Southern California but the weather is always so nice outside, and we open the windows and meander through the home, crafting, reading, and listen to podcasts, each one of us working on an unimportant art.  We let the time slip through our fingers, in the comfort of being together at home.

Chase started out in his career as a skateboard photographer, creating a popular skateboard photography website, going into studio work and then software engineering from there. When we started dating I felt painfully awkward when a camera was pointed at me but realized that I’d quickly have to learn how to pose for photographs.
